I’ve just read an article about IMDb.com and I was surprised to find that it was started by a Brit. It’s owned by Amazon now, but it was all started by a 35 year old programmer back in 1990 who just wanted to keep a record of the phenomenal number of films he watched (this guy puts me to shame). Amazing, a solid gold internet success and it’s British!
