“Taxi!”
When I landed in Schiphol (full name: Amsterdam-Schiphol) for the first time the pilot said that we were landing on a runway near our stand so the taxi in would be shorter than usual. I thought it a strange thing to say. My suspicion was well placed it seems as this time we taxied, and I’m not overexaggerating, for a full 15 mins. And that’s before the five minute bus ride to the terminal itself. I thought we were landing at Schiphol, not Rotterdam, if I’d known I’d have asked them to drop me off on the way through.
