I agree with Lee, the love being blind angle, the reason Anakin zips over to the dark side is way too weak and far too convenient for any character. I'm sure the story here could have been far better, but seeing as its writer openly admits to, not like writing, we were never in for any masterpiece. Only superficial half baked ideas that the boys at ILM could play with.

Come on, if Anakin had been as rash as he were in the last two you might have gone with the kill everything angle, but no, he's actually painted as grown up, sensible, wise and cautious (presumably to make his fall that much harder). Then suddenly he's killing kids because he wants to learn how to save his girl. He's also told it'll take time to figure out how to learn this new stop people from dying trick, how long? She's about to drop!!

Hmm end the war NOW and let your wife die from natural causes or start a new war NOW, kill some children go against everything you and your wife stand for, kill all your friends and countless other innocents even though your wife will most likely die giving birth before you learn how to stop it. Maybe Anakin is powerful, but boy oh boy is he the dumbest character ever written.

Put simply if Palpatine needed Anakin to go berzerkoid he could simply have killed Padame and thus the kids and blamed it on the Jedi order (he is a sith lord). But then where would Luke come from, maybe Sidious could pretend she's dead. But no, Anakin would feel her through the force, okay so how about she's kidnapped and taken far away, blame it on the Jedi's etc and BAM you got someone who needs to be as powerful as Vader and need to kill all Jedi to find her. But then that would require some good writing.

Okay, I can't help myself.

Why should anyone have had to have seen the Clone Wars cartoons for Episode III to make sense? I have seen a few of the cartoons, just not the last one. And if it was just his chest plate was tight, why couldn't he simply pull it open?

As for Anakin not being strong enough, is it not Sidious himself who says Anakin will become more powerful than him or Yoda? And he's taken the shortcut to that power in choosing the Dark Side. Besides, Anakin isn't fighting alone, he has plenty of clone trooper with him.

People will do almost anything for love, I don't doubt it, but I'd expect a little more fighting against what he has been trained to do all his life. Killing friends and children takes some seriously cold-hearted actions, Anakin does it without a worry, not realistic in any universe. My version at least gives him a trigger point, a reason for the sudden shift in outook.

First off, if you had seen the Clone Wars cartoon, you would know that Grievous was coughing because as he was escaping with the Chancellor, Windu used the force to crushed his chest piece in on himself, which is also why he opted to retreat rather than battle Anakin and Obi-wan on his ship. Also, i upon reading your suggests of what your Episode III would be, I'm very glad Lucas didn't epmploy you to write it. There is no way Anakin could fight off Yoda, Windu, and Obi-Wan at the same time, he's not that powerful. Also about the lack of internal struggle, Anakin was completely consumed with his love for Padme, with his true love about to die, I can understand why everything else, including the Order, took a backseat in his head, killing the Jedi was part of saving her, he did it all for her. Love made him almost insane. And having Vader being responsible for Padme's death atleast can somewhat explain why he doesnt overthrow the Emperor. He wan't to rule with her, but thinking he killed her could have broke his spirit to some degree, thusly he has objection to remaining the Emperor's lapdog, he has nothing else to live for. Having Grievous kill Padme is foolish.
