Attacks on London

Thursday, 7th July 2005

Today was the day global terrorism came to London. Several explosions caused mayhem, injury and death on some underground trains and a double-decker bus. These attacks were aimed specifically at innocent people with the purpose of taking life. My condolences go out to the families of those killed or wounded in the attacks.

The UK is coping perhaps better than many nations in light of terrorist attacks on it’s soil because it is something we have lived with for some time. We hoped terrorism had left us, but today it returned from a new source (as yet unconfirmed) and I think that the entire nation was comforted by the support shown by many other nations. None of us stand alone.
