Football Fields
I love football, it is, for me, the best sport in the world, both as competitor and spectator, it doesn’t surprise me that it’s the most popular sport on Earth. The Brits invented quite a few sports and games, but with football we hit our pinnacle. It was quite nice to see Hans van de Meer’s photos of European football fields and realise that it really is a sport than unites us. Any photo could almost be from anywhere, even from round the corner, until you read the description and realise it’s somewhere else entirely. They may be speaking a different language, but we all understand when it comes to football.
