The dawn of intelligent machines

Saturday, 23rd August 2008

“The idea may scare some, but Intel predicts that by 2050 machines could surpass the peak of human intelligence.”

I’m not so sure myself. In terms of raw processing power yes, but with sentience and the power the human mind has to combining ideas, building on experience and building relationships between data, I don’t think so.

As the article states, the speed on innovation is only on the increase and intelligent machines, even if no full AI, will only increase the speed and will help us push forward that much faster.
